Biodiversity Reports, An International Journal welcomes high-quality submissions from researchers worldwide in the fields of biodiversity, ecology, and conservation. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, short communications, and case studies that provide novel insights or significant findings relevant to the understanding and preservation of biodiversity. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts that are scientifically rigorous, ethically sound, and aligned with the journal’s aim of advancing knowledge in biodiversity research.

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to provide complete contact information and a cover letter highlighting the novelty, significance, and relevance of their work. Manuscripts should be written in clear, grammatically correct English and adhere to the journal’s formatting and structural requirements to facilitate smooth peer review and publication.

Each manuscript should include a title page with authors’ names, affiliations, and contact details of the corresponding author. An abstract of up to 250 words should summarize the background, methodology, results, and conclusions of the study, accompanied by 3–5 keywords. The main text should include an introduction outlining the context and objectives, materials and methods detailing the research approach, results presented clearly with appropriate tables and figures, and a discussion interpreting the findings within the broader scientific literature. A concise conclusion, acknowledgments, and a comprehensive reference list should also be included. Figures and tables must be high-resolution, properly labeled, and numbered. Manuscripts should be typed in MS Word, using 12-point font and double spacing, with page numbers included, SI units for measurements, and abbreviations defined on first use.

All research submitted to Biodiversity Reports, An International Journal must adhere to ethical standards. Studies involving humans require informed consent and approval from relevant ethics committees, while research involving animals must comply with international animal welfare guidelines. Environmental research should follow local regulations and obtain necessary permits. Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism, and any form of academic misconduct, including redundant publication or data fabrication, will result in rejection. Authors are also required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

The journal follows a fully open access policy, allowing all published articles to be freely accessible under a Creative Commons License (CC BY). Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 100 per accepted manuscript, which covers editorial handling, peer review management, typesetting, and DOI registration. Manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review, ensuring objective evaluation based on originality, scientific quality, clarity, and ethical compliance. Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer feedback as part of the evaluation process.

Authors are encouraged to provide supplementary data and materials to promote transparency and reproducibility. 1. Manuscript Types

Authors may submit the following types of manuscripts:

2. Submission Process

  3. Each manuscript should be accompanied by a cover letter highlighting:

3. Manuscript Preparation

3.1 Structure

Manuscripts should include:

  • Title Page: Title, authors’ names, affiliations, and corresponding author details

  • Keywords: 3–5 relevant keywords
  • Introduction: Context, objectives, and research significance

3.2 Formatting Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be in MS Word format, 12-point font, double-spaced.
  • Page numbers should be included.
  • Use SI units for measurements.
  • Abbreviations should be defined on first mention.

4. Ethical Guidelines

Authors must ensure that research complies with ethical standards:

  • Human Studies: Obtain informed consent and institutional approval.
  • Animal Studies: Follow international guidelines for animal welfare.
  • Environmental Studies: Comply with local regulations and obtain necessary permits.
  • Plagiarism: Manuscripts are screened for originality; any form of plagiarism will result in rejection.
